I often prepare tea, infusions and tisanes.
The kettle that my sister gave me on the occasion of my birthday-a Philips HD 4895-model? He arrived just at the right time because I was just thinking to buy one even if I had thought about a traditional kettle, of those who go on the fire, not an electric one.
I still welcome.
You can? heat water at the desired temperature-40, 60, 80 or 100? -without difficulty.
And you can get the temperature just right for us? You will prepare.
For the Green, just to give an example, we need a temperature around 80? and with the kettle "by fire" would be difficult to determine the right time when you can.
With this electric kettle you manage to be precise.
With this oggettino the desired temperature pu? be set and the problem does not exist.
Then if you wanted to keep warm in the water, don't worry: there? a special function that allows you to keep the temperature without problems.
Obviously there? a warning light indicating the achievement of the desired temperature.
And also a beep that wakes up (a bit like the "whistle" of classic teapots) when the water temperature.
So much to make us even more? the various operations! The frets to adjust the temperature are clearly visible on the handle and simple to use.
And then? equipped with a filter able to keep the water always clean and the kettle.
Left and right are indicators of water level in order to always check that there is enough. Also pleasing to see indicators from the aesthetic point of view and which indicate the minimum and maximum level of water present.
She is seen in transparency because they are semi-transparent indicators.
It has an excellent stability? Thanks to the non-skid feet and fills with ease? Thanks to a spout that facilitates operations.
It features a long cable 0.75 m and has a device for excess cord rewind, right not to be dangling.
That device? If you are not a special double Groove on the base of the kettle that allows you to manually wrap the cable that goes, in this way, neatly in place.
It is made of stainless steel and propylene and what I have I? white but my friend told me that if I wanted to change it with another color I could choose red or metallic. I kept the white.
The tank has the ability? a litre for the use which I do? pi? that enough.
The water heating are quite short so, on balance, despite being a small appliance that consumes power (2400 watts), I think that would be a savings compared to gas where the water temperature gets to a more demanding schedule.
Aesthetically? pretty simple, no big peculiarities? aesthetic if not a profile red on the upper part of the beak and below the lid.
Also cover especially since? designed to prevent sunburn.
The user manual? written in many languages, a sign that the Philips (but not that I need confirmation to that effect)? rather widespread everywhere.
A particularly interesting: the appliance? equipped with a function against the dry operation (which would ruin without prejudice to the subsequent operation). In practice, has a device that turns off the kettle if there were no more? water in the tank, or when you first came on without water inside.
To restore the function you need to lift it from the base (the one in practice upon which wraps the cable), to restore the level of the water and its protection and then proceed to use.
Based on that? rather small and not too heavy.
The kettle, then, could only activating when you also? set the function of maintaining the temperature but the water inside it? at a level too low.
Having the electronic storage of commands after you? Select the function that you must press the on/off button within ten seconds from the moment you? made the choice.
If you do it in this time the function is cancelled and not remain in memory for that? as if the kettle had not received any command.
It must be decided, therefore, and do it quickly.
I am using it for some time and I find it very well. In case of need? could also be used in different places from the kitchen (although to me not? ever use it cos?) because of the fact that? electric and needs only one outlet.
I can't say anything about the assistance (for which goes ignored its heading indicated on the card) why? for the moment it works, it has always worked fine and I never needed to contact support.
In particular, point out that if you used a particularly water, limestone? must pay attention to descaling. In the case of freshwater limestone is to be removed once every three months (thinking about a standard usage for up to five times a day, but I'm well below of use of this type) or once a month in the case of hard water.
But how do you accomplish this task?
The kettle is filled with water up to three-quarters of the maximum level and program boiling.
You must then switch off the set, add white vinegar until you reach the maximum level. We must let it be so? the kettle for a whole night and then empty the trash and wash it. Before using it again the kettle is again filled with clean water, boil, empty it and wash it again.
A procedure that must be repeated until you have traces of limestone visible. Alternatively there are vinegar antiscale products but do not know where they can be found and how it should be used.
Decalcification should be carried out every 6 months.
If? need to change the filter must be borne in mind that we do not? sold in stores but that pu? be required at a Philips Service Centre or ordered online.
